We're heading to the National Museum of Mexican Art! 🇲🇽 🎨 💀
Full disclosure: this particular Curious Company outing has a tiny bit of ulterior motive. 😅 I’m taking my fourth graders here on a field trip next month, and we’re doing a self-guided tour this time, so I want study the exhibits more closely and figure out exactly what I want them to notice, think about, and discuss.
But that does not mean I need to do my reconnaissance alone! Come wander the museum with me, look at some beautiful art, learn some things, and generally be curious together. The more the merrier – bring whoever you want!
BONUS: Saturday is also the museum’s Día de los Muertos celebration, so there will be ofrendas, festivities, and live performances happening throughout the afternoon.
BONUS BONUS: We can grab dinner afterward at 5 Rabanitos, one of those Pilsen spots you really should try at least once if you haven’t already. The food is SO good, and I am more than happy to use this outing as an excuse to go back. 😌 🌮
My tentative plan is:
~3pm: Explore the museum
~5pm: Día de los Muertos celebration
~ 6:00 pm: Dinner at 5 Rabanitos
Come for the art! Come for Día de los Muertos! Come for the music! Come for 5 Rabanitos! Come because Curious Company has been dormant for far too long and it is TIME TO BE CURIOUS AGAIN. 🤓
